Sausage Balls - With Cream Cheese

Holiday appetizer that is absolutely a MUST! If you do not have these for breakfast Thanksgiving or Christmas morning you really need to make some changes and prepare this year!

What you need:

  • 1 lb. hot sausage

  • 8 oz. cream cheese, softened

  • 3 c. Bisquick baking mix

  • 1 1/2 c. grated cheddar cheese (freshly grated melts better)

Lets get started:

  1. In a large bowl, mix all ingredients until well combined.

  2. Form into small balls, about 1-inch in size.

  3. Place on a foil-lined baking pan lightly sprayed with non-stick cooking spray. Bake at 400 degrees until cooked through and browned, about 20 minutes.

NOTES:

Sausage can be mild for the non-spicy lovers or if you would like to add an additional kick add about 2 tablespoons chopped pickled jalapeno.
